Female Empowerment Organization Expands to
San Francisco North Bay
New program helps girls ‘Connect to their Inner Super Girl’

BlueSan Francisco, California – Severson Sisters Foundation, a non-profit organization headquartered in Phoenix that empowers females, has expanded to Northern California to help girls ‘Connect to their Inner Super Girl.’

The mission of Severson Sisters is to inspire girls to live their life as their authentic, awesome, super self.

To accomplish that mission, Severson Sisters created the Super Girl program. The Super Girl program is focused on enhancing self-compassion, learning how to develop and maintain healthy relationships and understanding bullying-solutions that can be implemented in daily life.

The Super Girl program is implemented by trained Facilitators in Arizona, California and Wisconsin, and continues to spread nationwide throughout 2014. Super Girl Facilitators play a role in the lives of Super Girls to help them become confident Super Women who will lead their communities.

multiTrisha Almond, in the San Francisco North Bay area, is one of three California Super Girl Facilitators. Parents may enroll their daughters in an upcoming Super Girl program with Almond that will begin Wednesday, April 16, 6:30-8:30pm. The program, focused on the principal of RESPECT, will target 4th-8th grade girls and will be facilitated at the Petaluma Mail Depot, Petaluma. Registration deadline is Sunday, April 13, 2014.

“We’re thrilled to have Almond as a Super Girl Facilitator in Northern California. We believe every girl is a Super Girl and our job is to shine a light on their journey as they learn of all the amazing, authentic and awesome reasons they are already Super Girls,” says Severson Sisters Founder & CEO, Carrie Severson.

About the Super Girl Program: The Super Girl Program gives girls’ skills and tools necessary to serve as positive role models in the community. The program focuses on three elements: Self-esteem enhancing tools, tips on how to develop and maintain healthy relationships with their peers and action plans on how to handle bullying situations in life that match their personality. The Super Girl program is developed by our Advisory Board of field experts. The overall Super Girl Program experience is structured around six core principles. Each of our six core principles are developed into modules that have 10 structured lesson plans around each principle. Our principles are: Respect, Relationships, Peer Pressure, Competition, Acceptance and Body Image.
