Staycation, The Finale

Why must all good things come to an end, even if only temporarily?  Is it so that we may appreciate what we do or do not have?  What is The Universe attempting to teach us?   If these days have been a sign of retirement days to come, I am IN!

The resort time we won at the Cystic Fibrous fundraiser last month had to be broken up a bit, which was easy for us being the location was so close to home.  We returned Thursday evening, with three friends who were also in need of a mini-staycation, one of whom was celebrating her 29th birthday, again.

Shortly after meeting up at the resort we were off to the local, weekly Music On The Green and Farmer’s Market for some dinner, tunes and window shopping.  Gary & Stephanie (our birthday girl) had the fortune of being chauffeured in style by Ms Lesley in her Jaguar!

Mr. T’s priority – dessert first!

One of our chef’s for the evening, Green Grocer, serving up our pan roasted duck and duck tacos … YUMMMMM.  They raise the ducks themselves, less than two miles from The Green.

Back to the resort for some hot tubbing, conversation (of which I question should be shared here) and a birthday party!

We awoke the following morning to capture this view from our balcony ….

Then we were off to The Green, again, for breakfast before going our separate ways.

Thank you to the Stevens family and WorldMark for a much-needed break from everyday life.  Next trip (a Live Auction winner): Waikiki in September!
